NEW NFL MINORITY AFFINITY GROUP TO
HONOR REDSKINS GREAT BOBBY MITCHELL

Kellen Winslow, John Wooten To Lead Fritz Pollard Alliance

WASHINGTON, DC - At a press conference in Washington, DC this Friday, Kellen Winslow, Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and NFL All-Time Team will join attorney Cyrus Mehri, in announcing the formation of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, a new affinity group designed to be a communication and leadership mechanism to help foster mentoring and career development opportunities for minority members of the NFL coaching and front office ranks. Winslow will serve as Executive Director of the Alliance, named after Fritz Pollard, the first African American coach in the NFL.

As his first official act, Winslow will present the first annual Paul "Tank" Younger Award to former Redskins great Bobby Mitchell to honor his 44-year career in the NFL. The award is named after Paul "Tank" Younger the first player in the NFL from an Historically Black College and the first African American to become a front office executive in the NFL. Bobby Mitchell's 44 years of service to the NFL both on the field and in the front office make him the ideal recipient of the inaugural Tank Younger Award.
