AAA game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the works

A Triple-A game in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is in the works, set to be released in 2023.

This is according to an article in the American magazine Toy World (via WCCFTech). On page 170, it reads: “Collectors are being served with nostalgic game releases, including the recently released Shredder’s Revenge. Paramount is also planning a remaster of Konami’s The Cowabunga Collection and they are releasing a brand new, original Triple A game in 2023.”

Officially, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game has not yet been announced. It is not yet known exactly what the game will look like. The Triple A game has not been named anywhere outside the Toy World article.

The last Turtles game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, was released in June on all modern platforms. Wesley gave the game an 8 on Gamer.nl. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge offers timeless entertainment. You can see that developer Tribute Games has put a lot of love into it, but at the same time it also provides a safe game with some flaws, with the chaotic multiplayer throwing a spanner in the works for less experienced players. Other than that, this game is well worth your time,” he wrote in his review.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was released on August 30. It concerns a collection in which various old Turtles games are playable. It concerns a total of thirteen games that have appeared on consoles and in the arcade. The collection is being developed by Digital Eclipse and includes the ability to save at any time and rewind the gameplay.
