Los Angeles Lakers will fully guarantee Avery Bradley and Austin Reaves contracts, say ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Los Angeles claimed Bradley’s contract for release after the Golden State Warriors released him. He is now expected to earn $ 2.6 million this season and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 31-year-old guard got off to a slow start that made an exit likely, but flipped the switch in December and provided a reliable two-way presence.
Reaves’ contract was partially guaranteed as it was converted from a two-way contract. He is now expected to earn $ 925,528 this year after guaranteed $ 100,000, via Spotrac. Reaves was a surprise find as an undrafted rookie, and the Lakers are sure to profit from his presence both ways as well.
Los Angeles was due to make a decision on the two players before 2 p.m. PT on January 7, and now it’s clear.
Avery Bradley and Austin Reaves’ contracts with the Lakers for this season will become fully guaranteed at 2 p.m. PT and they will remain with the team, league sources have told ESPN.
