The Sixers shooter wonders if Ben Simmons still considers his teammates to be friends.
For the sake of the player, his franchise and his teammates, it would be nice if the Ben Simmons soap opera ended this week since it’s time to resume training. But it does not take the path since the leader of the Sixers decided to stay in Los Angeles, and he even refused that his comrades come to see him .
Team veteran and three-time NBA champion Danny Green was part of the contingent to go to California and he would really like to speak with him.
“It has nothing to do with the franchise, ” he says in his podcast Inside The Green Room . “ It only concerns us. We just want to meet him privately, man to man, friend. We don’t know yet if he still considers us friends. I know he still communicates with some of the guys, but I haven’t been in communication with him.”
All things considered, Danny Green has more or less experienced the same “melodrama” in San Antonio when Kawhi Leonard was sidelined from the group with a mystery injury. The Spurs had finally transferred in the company of… Danny Green precisely.
“I would like to meet him, sit down and chat with him, just to see where he is in his head ” continues the back. “ Just let him know that we support him and want him to come back and give him some friendly advice. But first and foremost, it is on a human level, as a professional”.
In mid-August, Danny Green had explained that he had not spoken to Ben Simmons since July 4, and that it was a simple exchange of text messages.
