Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young missed Wednesday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings with low back pain.
Young’s absence came after scoring 56 points, his career-best record, in a 136-131 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
Young reported pain on Tuesday and was initially listed as questionable by the Hawks. He was kicked out on Wednesday.
Young was 17 of 26 on the field, knocked down 7 of 12 with 3 points and made his 15 free throw attempts Monday in the NBA’s best performance this season. He also had 14 assists.
Over the season, Young averaged 28.4 points and 9.5 assists.
