What there is to know

The Detroit Pistons are home on Wednesday, but with an 8.5-point lead against them, it might not be quite the reception they would prefer. They will face the New York Knicks at 7 p.m. ET at Little Caesars Arena after having had a few days off. Detroit hasn’t won a game against New York since November 6, 2019, but they will look to end the drought.

The Pistons were pulverized by the San Antonio Spurs 144-109 on Sunday. Detroit was in a difficult position at halftime, already at 78-54. Detroit’s top scorer was shooter Hamidou Diallo (28 points).

Meanwhile, New York managed to secure a solid victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, winning 96-88. Center Mitchell Robinson was the offensive star of the competition for the Knicks, dropping a double-double on 18 rebounds and 14 points.

At the teams’ previous meeting earlier this month, the Pistons lost to New York on the road by a decisive 105-91 margin. Maybe Detroit will have better luck at home than on the road? Watch the game and come back to CBS Sports for all the details.
