Utah Jazz forward Donovan Mitchell, who has missed the last two games with a back injury, intends to play Friday night against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Mitchell, 25, was injured in Utah’s 120-116 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day. The two-time All-Star is expected to face Minnesota without any restrictions.

In 31 games with the Jazz this season, Mitchell is averaging 25.4 points leading the team. The Louisville product also averages 5.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, Jazz forward Joe Ingles (returning) is questionable for Friday’s game. Ingles, 34, has played in all 34 Utah games this season, averaging 8.0 points, 3.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds.

In other team news, guard Mike Conley will miss Friday’s game to rest, and forward Eric Paschall (personal reasons) has been sent off for a second straight game.
