The NBA fined the Sacramento Kings $ 50,000 on Thursday after assistant general manager Wes Wilcox faced staff at the official scoring table in Sunday’s 115-113 home win over the Miami Heat.

Wilcox was also fined $ 15,000 for breaking league rules which prohibit team owners and managers from interacting with gaming operations staff.

During a time-out just after half-time, Wilcox arrived at the scorer’s table to inquire about the operation of the game clock during a jump ball. According to the NBA, there was no problem with the way the official scorers handled the clock.

Wilcox, a native of the Los Angeles area, was the former general manager of the Atlanta Hawks from 2015 to 2017 and also worked with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he became director of player personnel.
