The leadership of the NBA (National Basketball Association) wrote in a press release that it had reached an agreement with the NBA Referees Association regarding mandatory vaccination against COVID-19. All those who will not be vaccinated and are not on the list of exceptions will not be allowed to judge the matches of the strongest basketball competition, they wrote.
The agreement stipulates that all judges must be fully vaccinated, unless they have a religious or medical exception. The judges also agreed to take the recommended additional doses of vaccines, they wrote in a brief press release.
Prior to that, some clubs had already adopted rules on the mandatory vaccination of their employees. For former Dragić team, Miami Heat, all employees must be vaccinated by September 1, unless they belong to the group of exceptions, it is published on the NBA website.
Still other franchises temporarily changed their halls into vaccination centers during the break before the upcoming season and provided free vaccination against COVID-19.
