After a tough loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors’ struggles continued for Game 2 of their road swing on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
As quickly as the game started, it was over. As the Warriors’ offense started off cold, the Bucks took advantage. With Draymond Green ruled out for the Warriors, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kris Middleton started early, scoring a total of 22 points in the first quarter.
After taking a 16-point lead in the opening frame, the Bucks continued to give it into the second quarter. Before the halftime buzzer, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks took a massive 39 point lead.
While the Warriors showed some fighting in the second half, it wasn’t enough to get back into the game in Milwaukee. Handing the Warriors their second straight loss, the Bucks earned a resounding victory, 118-99.
Andrew Wiggins led the Warriors with 16 points on 6 of 11 shots from the floor with two rebounds and an assist in 27 minutes. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and rookie Jonathan Kuminga were the only other members to total double-digit scores.
Antetokounmpo posted a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in 29 minutes Thursday.
After the Warriors gave up their fourth game in the last five competitions, NBA Twitter weighed in with varying reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying Thursday night.

Bucks is possibly the Warriors’ Worst Showdown, even at full strength, so that doesn’t surprise me

Bucks 77, Warriors 38 in Milwaukee. The Warriors are 39 points behind, their biggest deficit since the franchise moved to California in 1962-63 from Philadelphia. pic.twitter.com/aVKd8QXBPk

It’s 77-38 Bucks at halftime in Milwaukee. Worst defensive half of the Warriors this season. Perhaps their worst offensive half, too. On the way to a fourth consecutive defeat on the road.

It’s a real adversity for the Warriors. They have several issues to resolve. Hot start upped the ante and now they have to deal with it. It will be fun to see how they react
