LeBron James once again led the Los Angeles Lakers in the scoring column, dropping 32 points to defeat the Houston Rockets.

James has five 30-point games in a row and 11 in his last 15 games. It’s been an incredible time for James, who has had to carry the load for the Lakers with so many key players in rotation including Anthony Davis.

LeBron, who is in his 19th NBA season, faced one of the league’s youngest teams. Jalen Green, the No.2 pick of 2021, for example, is 19.

Kevin Porter Jr., a 21-year-old guard with promising potential, dropped 22 points in the loss, but praised James after the game, via Alykhan Bijani from The Athletic:

With the way James plays, he definitely deserves to be in contention for the MVP award this season. Working against him, however, is the Lakers’ record (17-18), which hurts when compared to Stephen Curry’s MVP offer while he was leading the Golden State Warriors.
