Steph Curry scores triple-double loss against Grizz


Steph Curry’s battle against Ja Morant lived up to the hype.

The two point guard showed their skills in a back-and-forth between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Morant hit the first, scoring 15 points in the first quarter. Behind the Murray State product, the Grizzlies took a double-digit first-half lead. However, Curry and the Warriors managed to counter Morant’s opening punch with an explosive third quarter.

After halftime, Curry lost 13 points on 4 of 7 shots from the floor with just a pair of triples in the third quarter. Behind the fireworks display from Curry, the Warriors got back into the game to gain the advantage before the fourth quarter.

Curry’s fiery third quarterback put the guard up for a triple-double performance. The current Western Conference Voting Leader has 27 points, the team’s top, on 8 of 21 shots from the field with 10 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 39 minutes.

As Curry racked up the numbers in the boxscore, Morant was able to secure the win. With a few clutch buckets on the stretch, Morant helped lead the Grizzlies over the Warriors for their 10th straight win, 116-108.

Against Curry and the Warriors, Morant scored a record 29 points on 11 of 23 shots from the ground with eight assists and five rebounds in 27 minutes.
