The start of the NBA preseason is approaching as it is scheduled for Sunday October 3 while the start of the NBA season will take place on Tuesday October 19. While waiting for the start of hostilities, we list 5 favorite teams for the title of Champion.
1. Milwaukee Bucks
The defending champion, Milwaukee, gained confidence and maturity by winning the NBA 2021 title. Worn by a Giannis Antetokounmpo in MVP mode each season (28.1 points, 11 rebounds and 5.9 assists on average!). The franchise of Wisconsin will attempt the back-to-back and most importantly, it has the means to achieve it. In addition, Jrue Holiday (17.7 points, 6.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds) who took part in the Tokyo Olympic title from Team USA, is a safe bet in the lead. Khris Middleton (20.4 points, 6 rebounds and 5.4 assists), sometimes inconstant, proved that he could be counted on in the NBA Finals. This is the Big Three of the Bucks, it is the great strength of this team which has kept its Antetokounmpo jewel for years now. Milwaukee has everything to achieve the double as a poker player, while visiting this portal of online casinos, realizes that he has the talent, the experience and sometimes a little bit of success to win the bet. In the editorial staff of Fpal, we are making them the favorites for this new 2021-22 edition!
2. Brooklyn Nets
Like the Los Angeles Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets have an extremely talented team but were not spared injury last season. Aging bodies put to the test by an NBA season too long for many, Brooklyn will turn its workforce in depth in the regular season and wait for the “real season”, the playoffs. Kevin Durant (26.9 points), James Harden (24.6 points) and Kyrie Irving(26.9 points) will of course be the major assets of this franchise with unlimited ambitions. Between them, they score a whopping 78.4 points per game, the biggest return for a trio in the NBA. If all goes well for this franchise, Brooklyn should be able to snag an Eastern Conference final, possibly against the Milwaukee Bucks. And there it will be another kettle of fish!
3. Los Angeles Lakers
Lakers like the Nets, the Lakers have an aging workforce and recruitment goes in this direction with Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Carmelo Anthony (who joins his friend the King ), DeAndre Jordan or Trevor Ariza. Anthony Davis is expected to come back strong after a half-hearted 2020-21 exercise, scarred by injuries. LeBron James (25 points, 7.8 assists and 7.7 rebounds) will still surprise us at 36 but should be able to leave the lead and the burden that falls on the Mr Triple Double of the NBA, Russell Westbrook(22.2 points, 11.7 assists and 11.5 rebounds with the Washington Wizards last season!). On paper and for fans, the Californian franchise is unstoppable. For haters, the Lakers are the equivalent of an EHPAD ( joke ). But the reality, as we see each year, is often very different and it takes place on the ground with the forces involved! On the drafting side, we can clearly see the Lakers in the NBA finals to represent the Western Conference.
4. Los Angeles Clippers
The rival of the Lakers, the Clippers, can invite itself in trouble. Kawhi Leonard (24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists) and Paul George (23.3 points, 6.6 rebound set 5.2 assists) have not said their last word. Cocorico, the versatile and precious Nicolas Batum (8.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists) is still there but during this summer transfer window, the Clippers did not really attract new fish. Stability that can be profitable? Not sure when we see the heavy competition with their respective armada.
5. Utah Jazz
Dominant in the regular season, the Utah Jazz collapsed in the NBA playoffs and ultimately did not convince. Nevertheless, the workforce is stable with the best defender in the league, Rudy Gobert (14.3 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks) and Jazzman Donovan Mitchell (26.4 points, 5.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds) as the offensive leader. This year, Utah must take a step forward or the bottom of its workforce will be shattered. Title year for Mormons? For more information on each franchise, you can find the NBA 2021-22.
