Nineteen years after the release of the Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory expansion, Bethesda and id Software create four official servers.

Bethesda and id Software announce through the Slayers Club that Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is getting official dedicated servers again. “While the community continues to host servers with a variety of mods and custom maps, which we highly recommend, we also understand that many players are looking for a more nostalgic experience,” said id Software.

Therefore, new servers have been created that work with the “vanilla Enemy Territory Campaign ruleset”, with all six original maps and without mods. Four dedicated servers have been set up, each in a different region to accommodate as many players as possible around the world.

One of the servers is located in the Netherlands, and it is the only one in the EU. The other servers are located in America (Texas), Australia (Canberra) and England (London). These are the “rules” that apply to these servers:

  • Game Type: Campaign
  • Maximum player number: 16 (8v8)
  • Friendly Fire: Yes
  • Punkbuster: No
  • Anti-Lag: Yes
  • Max. number of lives: Off
  • Weapon Restrictions: Off
