The original Call of Duty Warzone may continue to receive updates and new content after the release of the upcoming Warzone 2.0.
Journalist Tom Henderson made the announcement on social media. He does not state how he obtained that information. According to him, the first Warzone will be renamed Warzone Caldera on November 28, named after a map from the game.
Warzone 2.0 is being developed by Infinity Ward, which is also working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which will be released on October 28. There is no official release date for Warzone 2.0 yet, but the sequel to the battle royale shooter is rumored to be released in November, possibly on November 16. Activision has previously confirmed that Warzone and its upcoming sequel will continue to co-exist.
