Next week Ciryl Gane will fight to try and get the UFC heavyweight belt against someone he knows well, Francis Ngannou. Gane is aware of what is at stake in this fight and takes it as a kind of video game (via mmanews):

For me, yes Ngannou’s fight is different than Derrick Lewis’s at UFC 265, not because he’s Francis, but because he’s the champion, you see. And the champion is a very great fighter, with a lot of strength. I like to say it’s the ‘final boss’ like in my video games [il rigole]. It looks a bit like that. So yes, this time around, like every time, if I make a mistake, it will be fine. I can lose and I am aware of it. Every fight in my career was like this, but this time around I want to take the last step, you see, that’s why it’s a little different. ”

Ciryl Gane is one of the best heavyweights in UCF and can handle the pressure very well. He also knows Francis Ngannou and his fighting style perfectly since he trained with him when Francis was still with Fernand Lopez.

In just 3 years in the UFC, Ciryl Gane has shown the stature of a champion, he still has to pass Ngannou. And if he succeeds, other fighters will want to try to dethrone him, Jon Jones in the first place, for his debut in his new category. But Stipe Miocic might not be far either.

In your opinion, will Ciryl Gane manage to pass the “final boss”? Tell us about it!
