It’s expensive to be a fan of mixed martial arts.

Over the years, fight fans have had to contend with rising pay-per-view costs, and it looks like the ceiling hasn’t been hit yet.

Starting with UFC 270 on Jan. 22 and all future pay-per-view events will be priced at $74.99, a new high for the promotion.

Could this increased cost have a negative impact on fan interest in the sport? Can the promotion expect to see lower purchases with the higher price?
