MMA – At UFC 270, Ilia Topuria was supposed to be in the Octagon against Movsar Evloev, but the latter was removed from the card.
At 24, Ilia Topuria is undefeated in 11 professional clashes. In 2020, he won against Youssef Zalal and Damon Jackson. In July 2021, he knocked out Ryan Hall on the preliminary card for UFC 264. For his fourth Octagon appearance, he was originally scheduled to face Movsar Evloev, also undefeated. However, the Russian was forced to abandon the clash a week before D-Day because of COVID-19.
The UFC then had to find a replacement opponent for Ilia Topuria. It will finally be Quebecer Charles Jourdain, former featherweight champion of TKO MMA. In his seven UFC appearances, he has three losses, three wins and one draw. His last success dates back to December when he won the decision against Andre Ewell. He agreed to this matchup just a month after his last performance in the Octagon.
