MMA – Last night, lightweight Joe Solecki defeated Donald Cerrone by submission in FURY Pro Grappling 3.
More and more UFC residents are participating in grappling events outside the organization. Last night it was Donald Cerrone’s turn to test himself against UFC lightweight Joe Solecki. The two men competed in the FURY Pro Grappling 3.
In the tradition of his last fights in MMA, “Cowboy” bowed by submission after three minutes spent on the mat.
At the UFC, Cerrone hasn’t seen victory since May 2019 and his success against Al Iaquinta. His last six appearances in the Octagon have ended in five losses and a no contest. Despite this negative record, the UFC is reportedly planning a fight against rising star Paddy Pimblett in March.
As for Joe Solecki, the dynamics are not the same. Before his loss by split decision against Jared Gordon in October, the American had six victories, including three by submissions.
What do you think of this type of grappling event? And how do you see the sequel for Donald Cerrone? Tell us in the comments.
