MMA – This is a question that fascinates MMA fans. Francis Ngannou reveals who he thinks is the best striker in the UFC.

When asked who is the best striker in the UFC, the answers are not unanimous. Some names still come up with some recurrence. Renowned athletes in the field, such as Max Holloway, Israel Adesanya or Conor McGregor. It must be said that the parameters to be taken into consideration diverging. Should we consider as the best the one who sends the most blows? Should we take this into account the blows received as well? Difficult to sort out!

Still, the UFC heavyweight champion has given his opinion on the matter. According to him, two names really stand out when it comes to the best strikers in the organization. On his YouTube channel, he then reveals his preferences in this area:

“If I have to say the best suited striker for MMA, it would always be Jon Jones. But if we talk about kickboxing style, I think it will be Ciryl Gane. But regarding MMA, I give this title to Jon Jones. Because, like, with his elbows and all the things that he does … The oblique kicks, all that stuff. For MMA, it’s the perfect striking ”

Francis’ choices here are interesting. He gives the favor of best “kickboxing oriented striker” to his future opponent in the person of Ciryl Gane. He also reserves the title of best MMA striker for an athlete he may well meet in the near future in the cage.

Difficult to judge your choices as the selected profiles are effective. Indeed, Jones has never been beaten despite tough adversity. This invincibility, more than thanks to an infallible striking, “Bones” owes it above all to a mix of elements. His intelligence in the cage, his impressive range of skills, both standing and on the ground or his granite chin are all factors that justify his success. For Gane, on the other hand, difficult to prove Francis wrong. The “Good Kid” truly emerges as one of the best strikers in the UFC in very few appearances. Its very airy and technical style is also unheard of in the category.

Thus, Ngannou knows that he will have a lot to do next January 23 in his duel with the French!
