MMA – The duel is likely to be formalized soon by the UFC. For Paddy Pimblett, Justin Gaethje will defeat Charles Oliveira.
The face-to-face between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje is not yet official. Indeed, if Gaethje was supposed to be next against the Brazilian champion, Conor McGregor could be a game-changer. However, Dana White had claimed that Gaethje was most definitely next. So everything remains to be determined within the lightweights division.
Still, if this duel should indeed take place, Paddy Pimblett has an idea of the winner. The rising UFC star believes that the challenger would win against the champion. When we know the pedigree of the Brazilian, nothing is less certain. But here is Pimblett’s take on the matter, one he expresses through his own channel.
“I think it will be for Justin Gaethje. I really like Charles Oliveira. He’s brilliant, I mean he’s really good. But I just can’t see Gaethje going to the ground with him at all. I don’t see him being able to bring Gaethje to the ground. So I can see Gaethje beat him. Then I can see Gaethje beat Dariush or Makhachev or whoever follows. Or, Poirier, he’ll likely get another chance for the belt because he’s beaten Gaethje in the past. “
So Paddy Pimblett seems particularly confident about Justin Gaethje’s chances of securing the belt. An attempt for the belt which he had failed against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Since then, “The Highlight” has rebounded thanks to its superb war with Michael Chandler. After that, Pimblett couldn’t imagine Gaethje losing to anyone in the category. The future will tell us very quickly if Oliveira’s next belt defense is indeed against Justin.
