Lucas Brennan vs. Benjamin Lugo added to Bellator 273

A featherweight clash between undefeated prospect Lucas Brennan and promotion newcomer Benjamin Lugo is the latest addition to the Bellator 273.

Promotion officials today announced the new reservation. Sherdog first reported the game.

Featuring a heavyweight title unification match between defending champion Ryan Bader and interim defending champion Valentin Moldavsky, the Bellator 273 takes place on January 29 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

The evening’s main card is shown live on Showtime after the prelims aired on MMA Junkie.

Brennan (5-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) is undefeated in the first five fights of his professional career, all of which were under the Bellator banner. The 21-year-old “Skywalker” finished in four of those contests, including three by submission.

Meanwhile, Lugo (5-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) is coming back from a 16-month layoff. He most recently fought in August 2020, suffering a majority decision loss to current UFC featherweight Natan Levy in a fight under the LFA banner.
