The latter would have had a sparring session with Francis Ngannou, UFC heavyweight champion. He had already had a similar experience with Brazilian jiujitsu champion Orlando Sanchez.

This guy will literally workout with anyone in our gym“, Said Eric Nicksick, coach of Francis Ngannou at MMA Fighting. ” He calls Francis at each sparring session. He loves training with Francis because he said, ‘I want to feel as close to death as possible and have the fear of God in my heart every time I train with a guy like Francis Ngannou.’ So of course, we put him in the game and let him do a few rounds with Francis.

For his part, Sean Strickland confided in the fear he felt during an interview with Helen Yee: ” You know, I’d like to think I screwed up Francis, but I really think he’s very nice… He’s a good guy. I was training with him the other day and I have him Said, ‘You’ve never been through this in your life, but when I train with you and you kick me, I’m really scared. You’ve probably never felt that way in your life. ‘ But Francis is a great guy. He hits hard, but I trust him not to hurt me. Anytime he wanna knock I’m ready to hit. “

During UFC 270, Francis Ngannou will challenge his heavyweight title against French interim champion Ciryl Gane. The event will take place on Saturday January 22 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
