Tyson Fury is ready to step into the boxing ring with Francis Ngannou – but with a twist.
UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou (16-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) has been expressing interest in Fury boxing for years and it looks like Fury is ready to oblige.
But Fury, who has trained in an MMA roster with former title challenger Darren Till in the past, suggested they put on UFC gloves.
“Who would love to see me fight this beast of @ufc glove boxing rules?” @danawhite @francis_ngannou.

Fury retained his WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles when he knocked out Deontay Wilder in the 11th round in a thrilling trilogy fight in October. Ngannou is ready for his first title defense when he tries to unify his belt with interim heavyweight champion and former teammate Ciryl Gane during the main event of UFC 270 on January 22.
Ngannou currently has negotiation issues with the UFC, but if he were to re-sign with the promotion, he wants boxing to be part of his new contract. In a recent interview with TMZ, Ngannou said he can’t see himself retiring without boxing, and he’s considering some of the biggest and most accomplished names like Fury and Wilder.
