Development current-gen update The Witcher 3 still on track

The current-gen update for The Witcher 3 is still to be released at the end of this year.

That’s what CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski said during a meeting with investors on Wednesday. The update – which is still planned for the end of this year – is on track, according to Kicinski.

The update was supposed to come out last year, but was postponed to the second quarter of 2022. In April, the update was again postponed to the end of the year. In addition, development was handed over to Saber Interaction, who was previously responsible for the game’s Nintendo Switch port.

The current-gen version of The Witcher 3 is being re-released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S PC. The update will be made available for free to existing owners of the game.
