Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released in 2023 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 have announced this. There is no exact release date yet.
A second season pass was also revealed, called Additional Scenario: -Bardock- Alone Against Fate. Players can experience the story from the television special Bardock: Father of Goku and compete against Frieza, among other things.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was already released in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam and then also came out on Nintendo Switch. It is an action RPG in which the Dragon Ball Z world can be explored, filled with sidequests, NPCs to talk to and skills to learn. The game mainly features content from the Dragonball Z series, but there are also new backstories to be found in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
Gamer.nl gave the game a 5: “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot feels like a Frankenstein game. The developer has pasted the fights from previous games on top of some rough RPG systems, without thinking about how well everything fits together Your love for Dragon Ball must be very unconditional to make it through here.”
