EA working on anti-cheat system for PC version Fifa 23

Electronic Arts is working on a kernel-level anti-cheat system for the PC version of Fifa 23.

The company has announced that. Fifa 23 will be released at the end of this month and at the same time ‘EA AntiCheat’ (EAAC) will be available on PC. The system was developed by EA itself. That way, both PC and console gamers need to be protected from PC cheaters. According to the company, EAAC should not affect gameplay and the privacy of players is also guaranteed.

Logically, it is the intention that after the release of Fifa 23, EA will use the anti-cheat system for other future games with online options. Activision already released a kernel-level anti-cheat system for the Call of Duty franchise last year, called Ricochet. According to the company, there has been a noticeable drop in cheaters since the release of that anti-cheat system.

Fifa 23 will be available September 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia and PC. A ‘Legacy Edition’ is coming to Nintendo Switch with only minimal innovations, including the women’s football leagues.
