Expanded gameplay footage of Diablo 4 leaked

Extensive gameplay footage of the upcoming Diablo 4 has leaked online.

Two clips were shared via Reddit – a 5 minute clip and a 38 minute clip. It is not clear where the footage comes from and how it was obtained.

In the videos, the person streaming the images is talking. It therefore seems that someone shared the images, for example via Discord, and that others were watching.

The videos also contain the text ‘Private Test Build’ and a unique ID number. As a result, it is likely that Diablo publisher Blizzard can quickly identify the source of the images.

As of last month, Blizzard has been holding an alpha test for Diablo 4 for friends and family of studio employees. It is therefore likely that the footage comes from someone close to the studio, or that the person who leaked the footage was watching the person in question play.

Last month, images of the alpha test of Diablo 4 also appeared online. These images were taken offline shortly after publication and only showed the ability to customize characters and choose a difficulty level.

Diablo 4 is due out sometime in 2023. Earlier this year, people could already register for a beta test, which apparently will take place later this year. Diablo 4 is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One and will include cross-play and cross-progression.

Diablo 4 isn’t the only game that leaked images of last weekend. A hacker has obtained footage and, according to himself, the source code of Grand Theft Auto 6.
