During the Nintendo Direct this afternoon, Nintendo announced a new Fire Emblem game for Nintendo Switch called Fire Emblem Engage.
In the game, players must save the continent from Elyos. Well-known heroes like Marth and Celia can be summoned, but there are also all kinds of new characters to find. The battles are, as is usual for main parts in the series, turn-based.
Fire Emblem Engage will be released on Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. A special edition of the game will also be released on that day, including an art book and maps.
Earlier this year, information about the new Fire Emblem leaked out. There were also some screenshots available at the time. The final main game in the franchise is Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are said to have had the game ready for quite some time, although this has never been confirmed.
