Here you will find the BVB news and the rumors from the previous day.

BVB, rumor: Dortmund on Chelsea central defender

As Sport1 and Bild newspaper unanimously report, Borussia Dortmund are interested in Chelsea FC’s central defender Andreas Christensen. The Dane’s contract expires next summer and talks about further cooperation have apparently not led to any results.

Christensen would therefore be free for Dortmund. In black and yellow he was able to strengthen the sometimes shaky defence.

In the current season, Christensen was almost always first-choice under Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel. in 18 competitive appearances for the Blues, he scored one goal.

The 25-year-old already knows the Bundesliga. Christensen played for Borussia Mönchengladbach between 2015 and 2017 before moving to Chelsea.

BVB: Are you interested in Manchester United’s Amad Diallo?

Borussia Dortmund are apparently interested in Manchester United’s 19-year-old winger Amad Diallo. Sky reports. Diallo moved from Atalanta Bergamo to United a year ago for more than 21 million euros, but has not been able to assert himself there until now.

Under new coach Ralf Rangnick, Diallo only appeared once in the Champions League against Young Boys Bern. In addition to BVB, the English second division team Derby County would also have shown interest.

BVB, News: Pongracic apologizes publicly

After his misstep on social media and an alleged reprimand from his superior Michael Zorc, Dortmund’s Marin Pongracic is now rowing back and apologizing publicly.

“It is very important for me to clarify that my ‘like’ of Monday’s kicker post was set by mistake. When this was brought to my attention I immediately removed it as it absolutely does not reflect my opinion. sorry Pongracic wrote in a statement.

The Dortmund central defender liked a quote from Lothar Matthäus who was critical of BVB, provoking the ire of BVB fans and in any case sports director Michael Zorc. According to information from the photo, Pongracic picked up a villain from Zorc.

Matthäus was quoted as saying in the kicker: “If Dortmund and Leipzig worked as well as Mainz and Freiburg, then they would have a chance. It’s not just money.” Matthäus was referring to Bayern’s dominance in the Bundesliga and the overall title chances of clubs such as Leipzig and Dortmund.

BVB, News: Haaland Norway’s Footballer of the Year

BVB striker Erling Haaland has been named Norwegian Footballer of the Year for the second time in a row. As expected, the 21-year-old won the election of an eight-member jury on Wednesday and won the “Gullballen”.

“It’s something special,” Haaland said, “it means people appreciate what I do. And it’s free motivation to keep improving.” The “Golden Boy” (best young players) of 2020 expressly thanked his coaches and teammates at BVB and in the national team: “You pass the balls to me.” The jury was made up of Norwegian officials and journalists.

In 2020 Martin Ödegaard (Real Madrid, today Arsenal FC) received the award. Just like last year, Caroline Graham Hansen of FC Barcelona won the women’s competition.
