FC Bayern: Rummenigge with praise for Nagelsmann

“With Van Gaal, Heynckes, Guardiola, Flick and Nagelsmann, we have had five coaches with whom it clicked in the past ten years. That hardly exists in Europe with this quality,” said Rummenigge to the kicker.

“We were very lucky with the choice of our coach. […] These coaches have been instrumental in making the club stand as a ‘Shining Star’ in the sky today,” said Rummenigge, referring to Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola, adding: “It then continued. with us Hansi Flick and now Julian Nagelsmann, who also makes a very good impression.”

FC Bayern: Badstuber talks about Alaba and Müller

Ex-Bayern defender Holger Badstuber spoke to Sky about his former teammates. He explained why David Alaba was missing from the club and what still made Thomas Müller stand out.

“He’s been playing a great season at Real so far. They often play to zero. Such a man hurts because he was very important in the dressing room, had experience, class and consistency on the pitch,” Badstuber said of Alaba, who had moved to Madrid on a free transfer last summer.

“He gave the players security in addition to himself. He took responsibility. You cannot replace such a player in such a short time. He was too long and successful at the club,” said Badstuber, who has been active for FCB since 2009. until 2017.

Badstuber is also not surprised that at the age of 32, Müller is still one of the top performers in Munich. “He always wants to win. You can see from the reaction how the goals happen. He is still hungry. That is the big plus for Thomas, that’s why he stays at this level and he will remain so,” said Badstuber, who after his contract termination in Lucerne is currently without a club.
