FC Bayern: Tolisso, Coman and Richards back in training after corona infections

Slight personal easing at FC Bayern: The day after the start of the second half of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach (1:2), a trio returned to the field after surviving the corona infection.

World champion Corentin Tolisso took part in the replacement training session on Saturday morning, while the also recovered Omar Richards and Kingsley Coman completed individual units. This has reduced the number of active corona cases in the selection of frontrunners and record champions in the Bundesliga to six.

According to coach Julian Nagelsmann, the recoverers should be given enough time to find their way back to their old strength. “We’ll see which players are available against Cologne then,” the coach said Friday in view of the match in the second half of next week at FC: “I am not counting on an extremely high number of returnees who are eligible for the first team to come.”

You have to “see that we don’t run into something blindly”. More players who tested positive will probably return from quarantine in the course of the week.

According to Nagelsmann, national player Leon Goretzka will certainly not be an option for the boxing game. “He was in Innsbruck and did not train at all for eight weeks. It is impossible that he will come back against Cologne,” said the 34-year-old. Goretzka was examined by a knee specialist in Innsbruck because of his ongoing patellar tendon problems.
