Just a few hours before the transfer market closes, Real Madrid have just confirmed the arrival of the very promising Eduardo Camavinga from Stade Rennais, against an amount of around 31M euros. The young French Eduardo Camavinga has signed a six-year contract with the Real Madrid.
It’s official, Eduardo Camavinga joins Real Madrid. The Spanish club has just announced in a press release, having reached an agreement with Rennes for the transfer of the young prodigy, just a few hours before the transfer market closes.
“Real Madrid and Stade Rennais have reached an agreement for the transfer of Eduardo Camavinga, who signs a contract with the club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2027”, confirmed Real Madrid in a statement this Tuesday.
The fee of the transfer, is officially not disclosed. According to Fabrizio Romano the transfer fee may be around 31 million euros plus bonus. The 18-year-old, who is referred to as one of the future great players at his post, was under contract with Stade Rennais until June 2022.
But unlike the Mbappé case, Real Madrid decided not to wait until the Frenchman is free from any contract to secure his services.
After stopping negotiations with PSG for the transfer of Kylian Mbappé, the Merengues were keen to mark the occasion by spending a large sum for a player with great potential. Camavinga becomes only the second recruit of the summer of the Madrilenians, after the free arrival of the Austrian David Alaba .
Moreover, the young French international had been announced for a long time on the side of Paris, but it is ultimately the Spanish capital that he will join. Despite the strong competition in the midfield of Real Madrid, with Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde or even Isco, Camavinga intends to make a place for himself and could convince Ancelotti to give him playing time as soon as possible.
