The Girondins de Bordeaux confirmed the recruitment of Lille midfielder Junior Onana (21) on Monday evening.
Loaned by Lille last season to Royal Excel Mouscron, the midfielder, Cameroonian international, Junior Onana had found the Lille workforce this summer. But this Monday, the Girondins de Bordeaux have just announced their recruitment for the next five seasons (June 2026).
“The Girondins are proud to announce the recruitment of Junior Onana. The international midfielder has successfully passed his medical before signing a contract for the next five seasons (June 2026),” a statement from Bordeaux website read.
The 21-year-old midfielder is expected to bring in just over two million euros to LOSC, according to reports from L’Equipe. “The Girondins are proud to announce the recruitment of Junior Onana. The international midfielder successfully passed his medical examination before signing a contract for the next five seasons, ”said the club to Le Scapulaire. He will wear the number 8.
“Junior Onana is a player we know well. He is young and has enormous potential. He is also coming out of a very interesting season in Belgian D1. He also has a certain versatility since he can evolve as a defensive midfielder or as a torchbearer.
