Already very active in this summer transfer window, the president of Olympique de Marseille Pablo Longoria is likely to animate the home stretch of this transfer period. In addition to the expected departure of Duje Caleta-Car and the expected arrival of Amine Harit, the Marseille club could recruit three additional players.
Pablo Longoria has already carried out an XXL project on this summer transfer window. In the direction of arrivals, the president of Olympique de Marseille struggled with, for the moment, 9 new players (including Leonardo Balerdi and Pol Lirola, but without the young Pedro already on loan) in the workforce at the available to coach Jorge Sampaoli.
And very soon, the Marseille club will welcome a 10th reinforcement: Schalke 04’s attacking midfielder Amine Harit, loaned with option to buy.
Caleta-Car sold before the officialization of Harit?
Already present in Marseille, the Moroccan international has had his medical examination and signed his contract with OM on Sunday. But for the moment, the Olympians leaders have not formalized the arrival of the former Nantes player. According to information from the regional daily La Provence on Monday, OM will wait for a departure from its workforce before registering the contract for the Moroccan international.
Indeed, the Marseille president wishes to spare the susceptibility of the National Management Control Department (DNCG), which carefully monitors the movements made by Marseille during this summer transfer window. Barring any surprise, the Harit file should therefore be unblocked by the sale of central defender Duje Caleta-Car, tracked by several Premier League teams.
3 other recruits desired
But the departure of the Croatian, estimated at 20 million euros by OM, should also allow Longoria to complete other operations. Also according to Provence, three other recruits could land in the home stretch of this transfer period. Unsurprisingly, an attacker is still expected to compensate for the departure of Dario Benedetto, loaned with option to buy to Elche.
Then, a central defender risks being recruited to replace Caleta-Car. Regarding the last player desired, his profile has not been filtered but it could be linked to a possible departure of Boubacar Kamara, who however seems well on course to stay. In any case, the Marseille workforce is still likely to move!
