Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah left his future open to refugees during a video chat with Egyptian children on the official United Nations Twitter channel.
“Haha, are you a journalist?” Salah joked when asked a student who wanted to know which club he would like to go to after his stint at Liverpool.
“I don’t know yet and I am currently focusing only on my team,” continued the 29-year-old. “I’m happy here and I’m focused on helping the national team qualify for the World Cup. That’s the most important thing.”
After the contract extension at Liverpool, which runs until 2023, has dragged on for some time, there has been speculation recently about an early departure.
About a month ago, Salah also pointed out that he could even imagine the end of his career with coach Jürgen Klopp’s side.
