Manchester United arrange Woodward succession: Richard Arnold new general manager

English football record champions Manchester United have found a successor to general manager Ed Woodward. As the club announced on Thursday, Richard Arnold will take over from February 1.

“We now look forward to Richard and his management team entering a new phase in the club’s development, with ambitious plans to invest in Old Trafford, strengthen our commitment to the fans and continue to pursue our main goal: on the pitch. to win,” said co-chairman Joel Glazer of the previous group director.

United announced in April, shortly after withdrawing from the Super League, that Woodward was stepping down from his post at the end of the year. The 50-year-old received a lot of criticism from the fans.

Glazer thanked Woodward for “his tireless work on behalf of Manchester United during his nine years as vice-chairman and 16 years at the club”.
