Manchester United: Ralf Rangnick dissatisfied with progress

German team manager Ralf Rangnick is dissatisfied with Manchester United’s progress. “Every ambitious coach wants to move forward in bigger and faster steps,” the 63-year-old said on Wednesday. “But you also have to be able to train for that.”

From Rangnick’s point of view, the corona problem is slowing down innovation. “We had to close our training center for four days,” he said, but afterwards his players made a good impression – so the recent 1-1 draw at relegation candidates Newcastle United was “a nasty surprise”. It was United’s first game in two weeks after a forced Corona break.

Thursday against Burnley FC (9 p.m.), defender Victor Lindelöf remains absent after a positive test. Paul Pogba is out with thigh problems.
