Without Guardiola: ManCity with mandatory FA Cup victory against fourth division Swindon Town

Despite numerous corona cases, Manchester City easily advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Without team manager Pep Guardiola, who is in quarantine due to a positive corona test, the English champion won 4-1 (2-0) at fourth division Swindon Town.

National player Ilkay Gundogan (59th), who was successful with a free kick, was also among Manchester’s goalscorers. The other goals were scored by Bernardo Silva (14th), Gabriel Jesus (28th) and Cole Palmer (82nd). Harry McKirdy (78th) came together for the underdog.

ManCity had to do without seven players in total due to corona infections. In Guardiola’s place, assistant coach Rodolfo Borrell stood on the sidelines.
