Ajax keeper Andre Onana (25) is well on his way to the exit. In principle, the goalkeeper will leave Amsterdam after this season, when his contract has ended. There is also talk of a presumed agreement with Internazionale, which has already been concluded.
That is what the Italian Corriere dello Sport writes, at least, while the Ajax Museum also announces that the Cameroonian has decided to move. The medium writes that Onana has definitively decided to leave Amsterdam and that he “sees no reason” to still sign or to enter into a conversation with the club management at all.
He is said to have informed his manager that he does not want to have new talks with Ajax. According to the Italian medium, Internazionale and Onana have already spoken several times and there is almost an agreement in principle on the table. From a formal point of view, there may not yet be an agreement, because Onana is still just a contract player for the team from Amsterdam.
Director of football affairs Marc Overmars recently indicated that he also expects that there will be no more agreement in this transfer window about a new contract. Everything points to a transfer-free departure in the summer of 2022, about which he may only officially negotiate in the coming calendar year.
