In the Serie A, leader Napoli came into action today. Dries Mertens’ team did not make a slippery slope and won with the smallest difference on the field of low flyer Salernitana.
Napoli entered the game as leader. Mertens was allowed to start the game, but was unable to score. The only goal of the game was scored by Piotr Zielinski. There were also second red cards, one for each team. At Napoli it was Kalidou Koulibaly (ex-Genk) who was allowed to take a shower.
With this new three-pointer, Napoli takes three points ahead of AC Milan. The Rossoneri will play against Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma later tonight. If they win, they will be level with the Neapolitans. Internazionale, the third in the standings, already follows seven points from Mertens and co.
