AC Milan have officially confirmed the signing of midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko on Monday in the form of a loan from Chelsea. Details of the operation.
While waiting for Yacine Adli (who will be loaned to Bordeaux in the wake of the season), AC Milan have confirmed on Monday the signing of French midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko from Chelsea. The nature of the operation? “A two-year loan, which could become an obligation if certain conditions are met,” said the Italian club on its website. According to Gianluca Di Marzio , the purchase obligation present in this deal amounts to € 15 million.
Both Chelsea and Bakayoko would’ve preferred a straightforward transfer, but current market conditions being what they are made that even more unlikely than it had been in previous seasons. Hopefully, the 27-year-old midfielder can impress enough back at Milan to entice them to change this cycle for him, and for us.
As a reminder, Tiémoué Bakayoko has already been loaned by Chelsea to AC Milan (2018-2019), but also to AS Monaco (2019-2020) and Naples (2020-2021).
