Modern Warfare 2 Includes Enhanced AI And Special Ops Mode

Infinity Ward has revealed more information about the different modes and other options within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In Modern Warfare 2, players will have a variety of movement options at their disposal. Swimming and underwater shooting are two of the new additions. In addition, it is possible to sprint, climb over obstacles and hang from ledges. The dolphin dive also returns. This allows players to dive on their stomach in one go. The driving of vehicles will also be further expanded. For example, it is possible to lean outside vehicles and climb on top of cars.

AI is also innovating. Team members choose better positions, enemies have better cartridges, NPCs and non-militaries behave more realistically, and all of these elements respond better to the player’s choices and behaviors. In addition to the story mode, multiplayer and Warzone 2.0, Modern Warfare 2 will also get a Special Ops mode. In it, players can complete various missions in co-op.

The multiplayer gets playlists with a third-person view for the first time. Raids mode will also be added later. In it, players compete in three against three and the focus is on communication and coordination. The Gun Smith is further expanded. For the first time, players will be able to use unlocked attachments on another weapon within the same class without having to unlock them twice.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Open Beta begins tomorrow for PlayStation players who have pre-ordered the game and will feature maps of various sizes. All PlayStation players can get started with it from September 18 to 20. Xbox and PC players will have to wait an extra week. Starting September 22, the beta will be open to PlayStation players and available to Xbox and PC players who pre-ordered the game. The beta will be open to everyone from September 24 to 26.

Sarrif Bay is one of the playable maps for 32 against 32. Valderas Museum, Farm 18 and Mercado Las Almas are the maps for six against six. There are three different playable modes in addition to the classic Team Deathmatch and Domination. Knockout is a mode in which players compete to take out the enemy team or get their hands on a package. Prisoner Rescue is a mode where each team has a prisoner to protect. The goal is to find and free the opponent’s prisoner. Finally, there is Invasion. That’s a big Deathmatch with 64 players. Players will encounter both AI and human enemies in it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will be released on November 16.
