Aston Martin has unveiled plans to launch the 2022 car. Through a press release, the British formation announces that the curtain will be pulled from the AMR22 on February 10. The launch will take place from its headquarters in Gaydon.
Lawrence Stroll’s racing stable is therefore the first team to announce the plans. In the coming weeks, the nine other formations will also announce a date. The launch of the new cars is always an exciting moment for the fans, but this year is extra special because of the new regulations. The weaponry has received a significant facelift.
Aston Martin was hit hard last season by a number of downforce regulation changes. The team did not get further than seventh place. Ferrari previously announced that the launch will take place sometime between February 16 and 18, but has not yet announced a definitive date. The other teams have not announced anything yet.
The new cars can be seen on the circuit for the first time at the end of February. The pre-season testing days will start in Spain on February 23. Testing will also take place in Bahrain for three days, after which the first Grand Prix of the year will be held there on March 20.
