The GP field is full of promising talent, as Eddie Jordan points out. One of them is Lando Norris. The young British driver has what it takes to become a world champion, the former Formula 1 team boss is certain.
Lando Norris has not only been considered one of the greatest talents in the current Formula 1 field since his pole conquest and the subsequent strong performance in Sochi. The 21-year-old from Bristol has long enjoyed an excellent reputation among GP observers and experts. Former team boss Eddie Jordan is also one of the Brit’s fans.
In the “F1 Nation Podcast” the Irishman declared in August: “I like Norris, I think he is a very special talent.” But AlphaTauri draft horse Pierre Gasly also earns praise from the 73-year-old from Dublin: “Every time I see Pierre, he surprises me because he has the ability to achieve great things, as you can see when he won Monza a year ago could.”
Jordan also noticed Esteban Ocon when the former team boss teamed up with former Force India chief Vijay Mallya. “I was already a big fan of Ocon back then and his professional way of working in Hungary, where there was a lot of pressure on him, was considerable,” praised the former team boss and scene connoisseur.
But only a few are able to come to the level of the World Cup leaders Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, Jordan also explained. “I think Norris is one of them. When it comes to finding another British Formula 1 champion, you should take a closer look at Norris,” he is sure.
