F1 Watch Tip | BBC visits the Verstappens in its own workshop

Over the years, a lot of footage has been collected from drivers, teams, team bosses and the entire circus around it. In the F1 Kijktip we give a special image fragment to the readers every weekend to start the weekend well.

Just like last week, for the F1 Kijktip we go back to 2015, the year in which Max Verstappen made his debut in Formula 1. At the time, the then Toro Rosso driver was mainly known as ‘the son of’ former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen. The history of those two was of course known to the BBC, which still had the Formula 1 broadcasting rights in 2015.

The fact that Verstappen could end up in Formula 1 at the age of seventeen was largely due to his father. Of course, the Limburger himself is bursting with talent, but it probably wouldn’t have happened so soon without the help of father Jos. In the short documentary of the BBC one visits the workshop of the Verstappens.

You can see the karts that Verstappen junior and senior modified together, the Dutchman’s trophy cabinet also comes along and how he prepares physically is discussed. Do you want to know the secret of the Verstappens? Then quickly check the video below.
