The Ferrari team has announced the line-up of the Ferrari Driver Academy for 2022. Mick Schumacher and Robert Shwartzman are the most appealing names, while Callum Ilott is the big absentee with a gap year in IndyCar.
The Ferrari Driver Academy usually forms the guideline within the team and must ensure the growth of young, fresh talent towards the top of Ferrari. The team announces on its website that the FDA lineup this year consists of Mick Schumacher and Robert Shwartzman (Formula 1 test driver), Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Bearman (Formula 3), Dino Beganovic (Formula Regional), Maya Weug, James Wharton, Rafael Camara and Laura Camps Torras (Formula 4).

Team principal Mattia Binotto talks about the intensive and important program of the team. “This is always a significant day for the boys and girls involved. The Italian holds out the example of his current foreman for his young talents. “The dream for them is to do the same as Charles Leclerc. He is about to start his fourth season in Formula 1 for the Scuderia. I wish them all the best of luck for the new season. I am sure that they will attack it with the will to learn and more importantly, everything with a smile, because being a racing driver is one of the best jobs in the world.”
