In collaboration with AccuWeather, we presents the weather forecast for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of the United States. The drivers are in for a very warm weekend in Austin.
Summer is still in full swing in the southern United States and it will be sweltering hot in Austin all weekend. The chance of a shower is very small and the rain tires will probably not have to be removed from the tire warmers. During the free practice sessions it remains dry and very warm. During qualifying and the race it is again very hot, but then there is also a very small chance of a shower. High humidity will make it feel even hotter for Max Verstappen and his colleagues.
The first free practice will be held on Friday morning and then it will be ‘only’ 28 degrees. In the afternoon the temperature will rise and it can be called very warm with 34 degrees. During qualifying on Saturday it will also be hot and muggy and so it will be sweating for the drivers and mechanics in the pit lane. It will most likely remain dry, but there is a slightly higher chance of a shower in the evening.
Rain during the Grand Prix is also not completely out of the question, but it is unlikely. With a chance of precipitation of ten percent, it will most likely remain dry in Austin on Sunday. During the race it is again oppressively warm with a maximum temperature around 34 degrees. The tarmac on the Circuit Of The Americas gets even hotter and therefore the tires will wear out faster.
