At the Brazilian Grand Prix, Toto Wolff was very happy with Lewis Hamilton’s performance. Max Verstappen’s title rival said he had one of his best weekends ever at Interlagos, much to the delight of his team boss. Hamilton is pleased with Wolff’s enthusiasm, he says in front of the microphone of RacingNews365, among others.
“I like Toto’s fighting mentality, it makes me very happy,” said the seven-time world champion. “I saw a picture of him during the previous race (in Brazil, ed.) and I had to laugh really hard from the inside. It was so good.”
Wolff and Hamilton have a close bond
Hamilton cannot imagine a better team boss. “If Toto gave less and was just relaxed, I don’t know… That fiery and his passion is part of the infrastructure within the team. That spills over to the rest of the team. He’s the leader and you want this in your boss. Someone who is always pushing and wants to win every millisecond during the championship.”
“I love that he stands for what he thinks is right,” continues Hamilton, who emphasizes that he has a very close relationship with Wolff. “We’ve grown a lot together over the past few years and will certainly continue to do so.”
