Red Bull team boss Christian Horner foresees a bright future for Max Verstappen, even if he does not win the world title this season. Nevertheless, the team boss predicts an exciting end, he tells CNN.
The Dutchman is known for handling the situation soberly. “He shows no nerves. He just enjoys racing,” Horner says. In addition, age may also play a role: “Do 24-year-olds feel nerves at all?” Horner also emphasizes that his driver is doing great and if it doesn’t work out this season, there will undoubtedly be many championships in the future for the Dutchman.
Horner sees a battle between giants: “Lewis is now heading towards the end of his career, a wonderful career.” The two also showed in Qatar that they come from another planet. “Those two are head and shoulders above the rest and it is really a battle between two titans,” explains the Red Bull team boss.
Horner doesn’t dare to win the title either: “It will come down to the small details. The cars were evenly matched.” In the intense battle, luck is also a factor: “It takes a few more things to pull the championship to us. We will do everything we can.”
